Pete was one of the team of instructors at the Mystic Carvers Retreat at the Rhode Island University during the Columbus Day holiday weekend in October.
Ainslie Pyne, Australian woodsculptor, also on the teaching panel, joined one of Pete's classes to witness firsthand, his amazing dexterity with a knife and his enthusiasm for teaching this fascinating style of carving.

Pete's adept methods for the carving of facial structure and features bring "alive" his characters in such a way that ALL carvers would surely benefit from the chance to give their figurative carvings that something "extra" to make them more "animated" and less "wooden" than the average pose we carvers seem to come up with ..

BE WARNED THOUGH:
There is certainly never a dull moment (or a knife edge!!) in any of W "Pete" LeClair's carving classes; come and join us and find out!
