Leather Honing "Slips"
All carvers know that the most important part of sharpening hand tools is the final stropping process.
Bojan Products have come up with two leather "slips" which will remove that fine wire edge from the inside of
"V" tools, veiners and other deep carving tools.
By laminating either two or three layers of quality leather, this pair of
"slips" have been given different round-over diameters along one side and a
fine tapered edge on the other which should cover all possible combinations
of gouge profiles.
A touch of honing compound - Ainslie recommends the Herb Dunkle "Yellowstone" - to the edges of these laminated leather "slips" will clean up those inside curves
and angles ready for that finest finish every discerning carver chases!
