Chris Hortop

Chris Hortop is well known in woodturning circles in Victoria and South Australia. He has a large workshop in Penola, and gives tuition in woodturning. His work sells readily in a number of venues (including Yulgilbar Wood Gallery). His bird boxes look superb in native garden plots and their design should attract a number of different species of native birds. Once in a garden setting the natural redgum will age to a not unattractive grey colouring leaving the relief carvings to stand out even better than shown here.
