This carving is of a Rufous Tailed Phascogale --- a small Australian marsupial. It was carved from huon pine with buffalo horn for eyes and narrow leafed erymophila (a woody weed of inland Australia).
This work sold for US$750. Replicas are not available. However, Ainslie has plans to carve other small Australian animals in similar settings.
