A serving platter made from a length of huon pine rejected by woodturners because of defective areas. Ainslie utilised these in her carving by placing the neck of the Jabiru close to the defect and carving it out to define the area between platter rim and the neck of the bird.
Ainslie will take commissions to carve replicas or variations as desired.
