"So I set about finding out more on how to make simple patterns with a simple machine.
"I built a basic indexing system with a motorised cutting head.
"The results were joyous to me (they also looked good).
I then decided, "hold on, if I can do this without measuring anything,
then there is a simple way to decorate wood, plastic, soft metals etc."
"I wont go into much detail on how the machines evolved, but after
several prototypes and major refinements we now have a Unit which is capable
of:
"Since the development of the OM1 & OM2 machines early in 1998 there have been several spin-offs.
For example, I was asked on several occasions, "How come your machines and methods
make decorative turning easier than books we have read would have us to believe?"
Sydney, Australia has now the fastest growing Decorative Turning (D.T. Tm) group around.
I gave four registered workshops a year in Sydney, demonstrated at Woodturning Groups,
and also demonstrated at Woodworking and other Craft shows when requested.
Decorative Turning (D.T.Tm) has "taken off" and the interest will
certainly continue to grow due to the response following the launch of the
initial machines in 1997.

BRIEF BACKGROUND HISTORY
This lead to my giving a weekend workshop during which several machines were sold. It was apparent
my machine and methods worked, as all participants could use this new system straight away.
